Three Reading Chairs at Coral Castle - Mysterious Carving Of Edward Leedskalnin

In the northwest corner, Ed has placed three large chairs made of coral rocks. These are commonly referred to as "Reading Chairs" by tour guides. These three chairs share a common foot rest in the middle, which is also made of coral. These items create the shape of a 3 blade ceiling fan. 

Why did Edward Leedskalnin take the time to create these weird structures? Why did he insist on doing it by himself? Some argue that Ed kept his techniques secret, so others couldn't compete with him. If that's the case, why did he refuse to employ mules, horses and machines? 

The above picture shows the front view of the "Reading chairs". Behind it, on the left you can see the Stonehenge Statue and on the right you can see the Florida Table.  You can also see several Rocking Chairs strewn around. Do all these objects have specific meanings or were they created by a deranged, lovelorn man?

The Mysterious "Grotto Of The Three Bears" at Coral Castle

There is a series of rocks in the center of Coral Castle which is referred to as the "Grotto of the three bears". No one knows what this structure means and people think Edward Leedskalnin created this in memory of the fairy tale called ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. 

Was Ed cuckoo in the head to waste his valuable time and energy to create megalithic structures of cartoon characters? Or did Ed just tell people what they wanted to hear? How could a man create the world's only megalithic telescope on one side, and create a structure for a fairy tale on the other?

Today, the "Grotto of the three bears" is partially covered by plants. Ed has arranged several rocks to show a specific shape, but it may be impossible to find out now. It is not just a matter of removing the plants, there are other reasons.

Obelisk - Egyptian Secret Symbol at Coral Castle?

On the eastern wall, Ed has placed a massive stone that has been dubbed "the obelisk". This object is 15 feet tall, but having placed on top of the wall which is 8 feet, makes it look taller. If you observe carefully, you can see metal antennas on top of the obelisk. Why did Ed put metal antennas on this structure?  

He made it when he was in Florida City at Ed's Place. He has carved some interesting information on it. It says "Made 1928, Moved 1939, Born 1887, Latvia - E.L". Ed has also carved a hole near the very top, in the shape of a star. It served a practical purpose.

Mysterious Structure at Coral Castle - Drop 10 Cents Below!

On the front entrance, you can see a mysterious stone with the writing "ADM. 10 C. DROP BELOW". It has a 5 pointed star as well. Today, if you drop a dime through the hole, nothing happens, it simply falls out at the back. Rumor has it that Ed had a strange device filled with a liquid behind this stone. And there is something even more strange: during Ed's time dimes were made of pure silver. In 1965, the new dimes came out which were made of copper-nickel alloy. Locals say that Ed was performing a strange experiment with acids and pure silver. Do you know that silver possesses the highest electrical conductivity of any metal? It also has the highest thermal conductivity as well. Are all these factors just coincidences? Or was Ed making "magneticity" using silver dimes?

During my visit, I found a strange object in Coral Castle. I thought I had hit on something that no one else had noticed. Then I realized that these were modern speakers disguised as stones :( .
